Joint Hearing to Examine California’s Cybersecurity Preparedness - State Capitol

Chair of the Select Committee on Cybersecurity, Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin, questions Office of Emergency Services Director Mark Ghilarducci on the current preparedness of the state for the threats posed by cyber-attacks. Chair Irwin emphasized the need to approach the issue with an added sense of urgency due to the fact the cyber-attacks were declared a National Emergency by the White House and the state's need to be better prepared. Assemblymember Irwin is author of two bills AB 670 and AB 739 that will help state government and the private sector better prepare for and prevent cyber-attacks.
